Dakota Holdaway is a storyteller and poet out of Mona, Utah.
His introduction to the cowboy lifestyle began like many before him; on the back of a horse or mule, with his father and friends in the mountains and deserts surrounding his home. He learned many of life’s lessons and further developed values navigating the diverse terrain, hunting, packing, breaking, and herding livestock. Drawn to the rich cowboy legacy of poetry and storytelling, it became the mechanism to share some of his own experiences with family and friends.
Dakota is committed to spreading the word, the values of the lifestyle he leads. At the age of 24, he is pioneering a new gathering, working, writing, reciting, and still making time to start a few young horses. The goal of his poetry is to share and create community with all those who might enjoy or relate to his way of life.
