Raised in Wyoming, Matt Robertson grew up on the back of a horse, starting colts as a young teen and riding broncs through his youth. He has traveled all over the western states and Canada, cowboying and starting colts. Matt currently resides in Arizona, starting colts and training horses for the public. His experiences and appreciation for horses and the West have shaped his life, and his music is a reflection of that.
Matt has been writing and playing music since the age of sixteen and credits Ian Tyson and Christ Ledoux for his inspiration. In the earlier years, Matt made homemade tapes of his music and handed them out to friends and fans while he was on the rodeo trail, some of whom still have those recordings. Currently, Matt’s albums are available on all streaming platforms. His discography includes seven albums: The Voice, The Old Roan Horse, Makin’ History, Just Cowboyin’, Bronc Star, Bronc Scholar, and The Dusty Ones.
